Deshaun Watson Trade To Be Remembered as 'Worst (Best?) In NFL History' - NFL Analyst

The Houston Texans are experiencing a turnaround. The Cleveland Browns are experiencing ...

Quarterback Deshaun Watson, whose series of career valleys just took another dip as on Wednesday it was announced he his lost for the rest of the regular season due to a shoulder fracture that will require surgery.

Add it all up? One ESPN analyst and former NFL player says it it will go down "as the worst trade in NFL history.'' ... Which in Houston means, "the best trade in NFL history.''

Cleveland's increasingly infamous swap for Watson during the 2022 offseason came even as the fallen-star QB was saddled by sexual assault allegations and what the NFL would later describe as ‘predatory behavior.'' Now, it's also about injury issues that won't go away.

"Hindsight is always going to be 20/20. But this will go down, because of this injury and everything that's happened prior, as the worst trade in NFL history," Chris Canty said on ESPN Radio. "That is not hyperbole. That is just fact. We gave you three first-round draft picks, plus we guaranteed the player $230 million."

In his first two seasons with the Browns, Watson has played in only 12 games. Cleveland is 8-4 in those contests, but Watson's numbers (59.8 percentage completion rate, 2,217 passing yards, 14 touchdowns and nine interceptions) are not at all what Cleveland was bargaining for.

BREAKING: Deshaun Watson OUT For Season With Injury

With Watson now sidelined, P.J. Walker and Dorian Thompson-Robinson are next in line for the 6-3 Browns.

Texans' Stroud Has Already Won 'Best Rookie QB Fight'

Meanwhile, of course, led by rookie QB C.J. Stroud, Houston is 5-4 ... and the sour memories of Watson's departure are suddenly fading quickly.
