‘Dirty’ Deshaun: Could Watson Get Suspended for Odd Browns Behavior?

Could Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson - the former Houston Texans star who knows all about suspensions - again get benched by the NFL?
In this story:

The “Monday Night Football” experience was an awful one for the Cleveland Browns, in large part because they lost Nick Chubb to a horrific season-ending knee injury.

But also folded into the 26-22 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers was some odd work by quarterback Deshaun Watson, including an interception that was returned for a touchdown on the first play.

And what ensued from there had some wondering if Watson - the former Houston Texans star who knows all about suspensions - might again get benched by the NFL.

The Browns quarterback, traded from Houston last year while in trouble for sexual misbehavior charges, committed two face-mask fouls and shoved a referee during Monday's game.

Reports say the NFL is looking into those incidents and is considering punishment. While we will argue that fines are commonplace, PFT suggests that Watson could face suspension as a result of his actions.

And now the league is calling the grabbing of a ref “inadvertent.’”

Oddly, Watson - to whom the Browns have committed $230 million of fully guaranteed money - is playing dumb when it comes to the on-field accusations. And in the end? He’ll play in Week 3 but will likely be fined for the face-mask grabbing.
