Good News and Bad News For Texans in Thursday Injury Report

The Houston Texans will get back C.J. Stroud on Sunday, but there is still a myriad of injury concerns from Thursday's injury report.
In this story:

HOUSTON, TX -- The Houston Texans got fantastic news on Thursday, with star rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud clearing concussion protocol, and set to return to action for the team's critical Sunday matchup with the Tennessee Titans.

They also welcomed Nico Collins and Laremy Tunsil back to practice in full capacity, after both appeared in Wednesday's injury report.

Tunsil did not practice on Wednesday as he continues to deal with a knee issue, while Collins was limited with a calf injury.

However, despite the Texans getting those three critical pieces back at practice, the Thursday injury report was still littered with key players across the board, including star rookie edge rusher Will Anderson.

Anderson, who continues to recover from a high ankle sprain, was once again held out of practice, alongside defensive tackles Maliek Collins (hip) and Sheldon Rankins (ankle), edge Jonathan Greenard (ankle), and cornerback Steven Nelson (multiple injuries).

Meanwhile, Noah Brown (knee), linebackers Blake Cashman (hamstring) and Denzel Perryman (ankle), and offensive guard Shaq Mason (calf) were all limited participants on Thursday.

The Titans, who have also been battered and bruised this season, had a similarly long injury report of their own on Thursday as well, with nine players listed as limited participants, including defensive tackle Denico Autry, guard Daniel Brunskill, defensive end Marlon Davidson, cornerback Caleb Farley, receivers DeAndre Hopeings and Chris Moore, linebacker Caleb Murphy, and corner Sean Murphy-Bunting.

Rookie quarterback Will Levis, who took over for Ryan Tannehill earlier this season, was a full participant.
