NFL Draft BREAKING: Texans Select Alabama LB Henry To'oTo'o With No. 167 Pick
HOUSTON — The Houston Texans have used their first two picks of Day 3 to add talent to their defense. With the No. 167 pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, the Texans took linebacker Henry To'oTo'o from Alabama.
To'oTo'o was the second player the Texans drafted after the selection of defensive end Dylan Horton from TCU at No. 109. Houston traded up for To'oTo'o by sending picks No. 174 and 259 to the Los Angeles Rams.
"Athletic linebacker who can come downhill in a hurry and limit rushing yardage. To’o To’o has quick hands to stay clean when flowing to the sideline, taking advantage of his speed to make plays.
"His closing speed is very good. Linemen have a tough time locating and blocking him at the second level as he slips past blocks," SI Draft Bible writes.
To'oTo'o is the third defensive prospect the Texans drafted from Alabama over the last two years. Houston's first came during the 2022 NFL Draft with the selection of Christian Harris. Thursday night, the Texans drafted EDGE rusher Will Anderson Jr. with the No. 3 pick.
To'oTo'o played two seasons with the Crimson Tide since the 2021 season. He finished his college career with 205 tackles, 6.5 sacks and one pass deflection.
