Watch: Dameon Pierce Runs Back Kickoff Return For TD vs. Browns
Welcome back to the end zone, Dameon Pierce.
The second-year Houston Texans running back crossed the goal line for the first time since Week 12's win over the Denver Broncos thanks to a 98-yard kickoff return against the Cleveland Browns.
The Browns still lead 14-7 with just over 11 minutes remaining in the first half. The Texans will receive the ball to begin the third quarter.
Since Tank Dell's season-ending injury, kickoff return duties have been a constant carousel for the Texans. In last week's 19-16 win over the Tennessee Titans, Houston turned to Steven Sims. Against the New York Jets in Week 14, the team looked to defensive back Demond King, who serves as the main punt returner.
Pierce's rep count dissolved following the emergence of free-agent acquisition Devin Singletary. After starting the season out as the team's top tailback, the former Florida star has yet to finish with more than 20 carries in Week 5's loss against the Atlanta Falcons.

But Peirce maneuvered his way through traffic, trusting his blockers up the middle to break through a crease around the 30-yard line. After that, it was a foot race to the end zone with Peirce leading the charge. A last-second tackle by the Browns actually catapulted Pierce into the end zone.
Entering Week 16, Pierce has totaled 394 yards on 134 carries and scored two touchdowns. The Texans are playing without both star quarterback C.J. Stroud and rookie sensation defensive end Will Anderson Jr.
