Do Texans Have Fantasy Football 'Sleeper'?

Could Houston Texans receiver Nico Collins emerge as a sharp fantasy football player?
In this story:

As rankings develop for the 2023 season, fantasy football fanatics have kept a close eye on NFL OTAs, looking for a relatively unknown or almost-forgotten player who could unexpectedly emerge to blow up the scoreboard.

Which players could be labeled as "sleepers" this season?

Houston Texans receiver Nico Collins is among Sports Illustrated's "sleeper" wide receiver picks for 2023:

The Texans added a bunch of wide receivers in the offseason, including the likes of Robert Woods, Noah Brown and rookie Tank Dell. Still, I see Collins as the most talented of the bunch and the one with the most fantasy potential. He likely won’t be consistent in the stat sheets with so many mouths to feed, but Collins could push for flex value when the matchup is right this season.

Collins will likely be catching passes from No. 2 overall selection C.J. Stroud this season, despite new head coach DeMeco Ryans committing to a quarterback competition between Stroud and Davis Mills.

Through his first two seasons, Collins totaled 70 receptions for 927 yards and three touchdowns. The former 2021 third-round pick has been available for 24 of those 34 games. The main focus in his third season is to stay healthy.

Hopes are high for an offensive improvement in 2023, thanks to an exciting quarterback prospect in Stroud and new offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik, who takes over after spending the previous six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.

With a new-look roster after an active offseason, the Texans hope to post their first winning record in four seasons. Houston currently has the second-longest odds to make the playoffs in 2023. But if Collins can excel under Slowik's play calling, he will certainly be a sleeper and could help his team make a huge jump toward the postseason.
