The Stefon Diggs trade to the Houston Texans marks the resolution of a strained relationship between Diggs and the Buffalo Bills organization, which had encountered turbulence over time.

Just last month, Diggs posted a cryptic message on social media, "ready for watever."

"Whatever" has now taken the form of a blockbuster trade with the Houston Texans adding an elite weapon to the Texans' offense.

Fortunately for Diggs, he won't have to wait long to get a shot at his old team, with the Texans set to host the Bills next season at NRG Stadium.

No one knows, what the future holds for the 2024 Texans but if the 2023 season is any indicator of what quarterback C.J. Stroud and Demeco Ryans can do with a top-tier talent like Diggs, Buffalo might be in for a tough matchup.

With Diggs joining Houston, their receiving corps becomes one of the NFL's strongest, complementing talents like Nico Collins, Tank Dell, Noah Brown, and Robert Woods. Tight end Dalton Schultz and running back Joe Mixon, acquired earlier in the offseason from the Bengals, add further depth.

During the 2023 season, Dell was on pace to accumulate 1,205 receiving yards before his campaign was cut short by a season-ending injury sustained in the first quarter against the Denver Broncos in Week 13.

Collins also had a career-year with Stroud, hauling in 80 catches for 1,297 yards and eight scores.

Meanwhile, as Houston's offense gains a new dimension with Diggs, the Buffalo Bills must now restructure their wide receiver lineup in his absence.

Alongside Diggs, Gabe Davis' departure to the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency impacts the Bills' receiving depth. Their current wide receiver depth chart features Curtis Samuel, Khalil Shakir, Justin Shorter, and Mack Hollins at the forefront.

In other words, it seems Diggs and the Texans have a serious advantage on paper vs. the Bills next season, in what could be one of the most watched games of the season.
