WATCH: Texans Regain Lead On 76-Yard TD To Brevin Jordan

Brevin Jordan and C.J. Stroud needed one play to retake the lead at NRG Stadium for the Houston Texans

C.J. Stroud needed one play to retake the lead at NRG Stadium.

Brevin Jordan needed a crease and didn't stop running.

Stroud, the face of the Houston Texans, found Jordan in the flats for a 76-yard touchdown to give Houston the 17-14 lead in the wild-card round against the Cleveland Browns. The scoring drive marks the longest offensive touchdown of the season for the Texans.

Following Kareem Hunt's 4-yard touchdown run, the Browns elected to kick it away from Dameon Pierce, thus giving Houston substantial field position. Jordan delayed his route before breaking free off the line and into the flats.

After that, it was a foot race to the end zone. No. 9 outworked Cleveland's secondary to secure six points and the eventual lead.

The 76-yard catch by Jordan marks the longest reception of his career. His previous long was 27 yards, which he recorded in 2021 and earlier this season.

Drafted out of Miami in the fifth round in 2021, Jordan totaled 17 catches for 219 receiving yards and two touchdowns during the regular season. He previously scored a touchdown in Week 17's 26-3 victory over the Tennessee Titans.

Explosive plays have been the storyline for both teams nearing halftime. Browns quarterback Joe Flacco connected with tight ends David Njoku and Harrison Bryant for gains of 45 and 47 yards, respectively to set up scoring drives.

Stroud connected with Nico Collins for a gain of 38 to set up a 21-yard field goal from Ka'imi Fairbairn. The No. 2 pick also found John Metchie III for a gain of 27 to set up a 15-yard touchdown pass to Collins.

The Texans will receive the ball to begin the second half.
