In this story:

The Houston Texans will open the 2024-25 season with expectations not placed upon the franchise in years. Arguably, the weight of expectations could be some never felt by the Texans because Super Bowl chatter has arrived.

Following quarterback C.J. Stroud’s historically dominant rookie campaign, plus the Texans’ aggressive free agency moves, many have taken notice of another jump soon on the horizon. After winning the AFC South, another postseason run is most certainly in the cards for Houston.

Not only is Houston the odds-on favorite to win the division once more, but it also carries +2000 odds to win the Super Bowl in New Orleans over on FanDuel Sportsbook.

Yes, the Texans own the ninth-best odds to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. What a turnaround from where this organization was only a few short years ago. Stroud and head coach DeMeco Ryans have completely flipped the script in Houston, where consistently winning big is the new barometer.

Here are the top-10 teams in Super Bowl odds for next season, per FanDuel:

San Francisco 49ers = +500

Kansas City Chiefs = +650

Baltimore Ravens = +900

Buffalo Bills = +1200

Dallas Cowboys = +1300

Detroit Lions = +1300

Cincinnati Bengals = +1500

Philadelphia Eagles = +1600

Houston Texans = +2000

Green Bay Packers = +2200

This time last year, Houston owned one of the worst overall odds, and their win-loss total was in the NFL’s gutter. It’s time to take this team very seriously, even this early on in their new era.
