Laremy Tunsil Injured vs. Browns; Will He Return?
HOUSTON, TX -- The Houston Texans are off to a hot start vs. the Cleveland Browns in their Wild Card matchup at NRG Stadium on Saturday.
However, one of their most important players, left tackle Laremy Tunsil, has now suffered an injury.
After scoring a touchdown late in the first quarter, the Texans lined up to kick the extra point looking to take a field goal lead over the Browns. However, that is when potential disaster struck, with Tunsil coming up injured after the try.
During the attempt fellow offensive lineman Josh Jones fell into the left knee of Tunsil, causing the Texans star to stay down for an extended period after the play.
The Texans' medical staff immediately rushed out to aid Tunsil and provide further evaluation. Tunsil then walked off under the field under his own power and entered the medical tent.
Tunsil is currently questionable to return.
Tunsil Gives Stroud A Fighting Chance vs. Garrett And Browns In Wild Card Round
Outside of quarterback C.J. Stroud, Tunsil is arguably the most critical player to the Texans' offensive success - particularly due to Browns' star pass rusher Myles Garrett, who is arguably the most talented defensive end in the NFL.
Should Tunsil be forced to miss any time in the game, George Fant will likely enter the game at left tackle.
