Texans TE Teagan Quitoriano Undergoes Multiple Surgeries

Houston Texans tight end Teagan Quitoriano has had a rough go with injuries this season

The Houston Texans have had to deal with their fair share of injuries this season throughout the roster and on both sides of the ball.

One of the players they have been without has been tight end Teagan Quitoriano, who suffered groin and oblique injuries earlier this season vs. the Carolina Panthers.

Quitoriano has not played since while attempting to rehab those injuries.

Now, according to reports, it appears that both Quitoriano and the Texans have decided to opt for surgery on the injuries, which will sideline him for the remainder of the season.

As a result, the Texans have placed Quitoriano on injured reserve.

Quitoriano had already started the preseason season on the IR with an injured knee, missing the team's preseason slate, but was able to get himself healthy for the season-opening loss to the Ravens in September.

He has caught nine passes on 17 targets in 16 games, for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Both of his scores came in the 2022 season in losses to the Eagles and Chiefs, respectively.

Quitoriano first came to the Texans as a fifth-round pick out of Oregon State.
