Last season, the Houston Texans may not have won any prizes on the field, but their mascot, Toro, had himself a year.

On Thursday at the 2023 NFL Mascot Summit, Toro managed to win a pair of awards, bringing home the Video of the Year and the Stunt of the Year honors over multiple candidates.

The annual event was held this year in Seattle, and commemorated some of the season's top mascot moments, while also allowing the mascots to prepare for next season with one another, and Toro is no stranger to the event.

In 2021, the Texans' mascot was named the NFL's Mascot of the Year for his ability to "adapt and innovate during the 2020 season, including a strong game-day presence, social media presence and community impact."

This year, for the Stunt of the Year Award, the Texans put on an elaborate stadium entrance that the mascot performed during a week nine matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The stunt saw Toro dangling from the rafters as he lifted two large banners, both encouraging the fans to make noise and support the Texans and was elaborate enough to beat out all of the other various stunts performed by other mascots.

Toro is a repeat winner in that category as well — his previous award coming back in 2016 — making his reign as one of the league's best far from over, even seven years later.

So, whether or not Houston can make marked improvements on the field under its new head coach, Texans fans can at least look forward to watching Toro take the field once more next season.
