Is USC WR Jordan Addison A Draft Fit For Texans?

CBS latest mock draft has the Houston Texans drafting wide receiver Jordan Addison with the No. 12 pick of the 2023 NFL Draft.
In this story:

HOUSTON — The Houston Texans are planning to use their No. 2 pick of the 2023 NFL Draft on a quarterback. And if the Texans stick to the plan, either C.J. Stroud or Bryce Young will likely land in Houston by the end of April.

But the Texans have 10 more picks to boost other position groups. Most mock drafts have the Texans selecting a wide receiver following the choice of Stroud or Young. CBS Sports used the Texans' No. 12 pick on USC draft prospect Jordan Addison.

Addison is entering the draft in consideration as the top player in his position group. Despite his 6-foot-0 stature, Addison has the potential to take the helm as any team's top wide receiver. And given the lack of commitment last season from Brandin Cooks, the Texans will have a void to fill due to his pending departure.

While helping the USC Trojans finish with an 11-3 record last season, Addison recorded 875 yards on 59 catches and eight touchdowns. He ended his collegiate career with 3,134 yards after playing his first two seasons at the University of Pittsburgh.

CBS paired Addison's draft selection with the pick of Young at No. 2. Young's teammate from Alabama, edge rusher Will Anderson, was taken with the first overall pick by the Chicago Bears.
