REPORT: Houston Texans LB Will Anderson 'Likely' to Miss Week 15
Houston Texans linebacker Will Anderson is reportedly likely to miss Week 15's game against the Tennessee Titans, according to KPRC2 in Houston.
Anderson suffered a high-ankle sprain last week against the New York Jets, and he has been in a walking boot this week and has not participated in practice. According to the report, it is unclear when Anderson will be able to resume football activities.
The Texans linebacker is just one of a handful of significant injuries suffered by the Houston roster on the infamous turf at MetLife Field last week, including quarterback C.J. Stroud (concussion), linebacker Blake Cashman (hamstring), cornerback Tavierre Thomas (hamstring) and wide receiver Nico Collins (calf).
Anderson has not missed a game so far in 2023, and he was selected by the Texans in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft with the third overall pick. He has tallied 27 total tackles and five sacks thus far in his rookie campaign.
Anderson's production was evident before his professional days when he suited up with the Alabama Crimson Tide. During college, Anderson won Southeastern Conference Defensive Player of the Year, the Lombardi Award and the Bronko Nagurski Award after putting up over 200 tackles and 34.5 sacks over the course of three seasons.
