With the NFL holding an organized workout for free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick on Saturday, good friend Houston Texans wide receiver Kenny Stills was asked about the upcoming workout.

Stills has supported Kaepernick since the start of the quarterback's mission to bring light to protest police brutality and social injustice during the playing of the national anthem at NFL games by kneeling.

The two remain close and keep in contact, and Stills mentioned he has already talked to Kaepernick to make sure if the workout was real.

"Honestly, I haven't had much time really to think about it," Stills said of Kaepernick's upcoming workout. "I saw it happened yesterday, or the news break, and I reached out to Colin to see if it was real. He got back to me, but I haven't had much time to think about it."

Head coach Bill O'Brien would not confirm if the Texans would attend Kaepernick's workout. While other teams across the NFL like the Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, Detriot Lions, and the Cincinnati Bengals have confirmed they will be in attendance.

"I've been focused on Baltimore," O'Brien said of the Kaepernick workout. "I would never talk about anything that has to relate to scouting or personnel or anything like that."

Stills remains cautious of how the day will go for Kaepernick, and he feels this could have been handled by teams a long time ago.

"I mean, you never really know, right now," Stills continued. "Just how it works how things play out. Teams could have easily brought him in for a one-on-one workout. So, I don't know what's going on if it's some type of media circus or what they're trying to do by doing this. You never know. I haven't had enough time to look into it. So, I can't really say."

Kaepernick has not played since 2016, but he lead the San Francisco 49ers to a Super Bowl appearance in 2012.
