WATCH: Texans' Tank Dell Resumes Workouts After Season-Ending Injury
HOUSTON — At the end of the 2023 season, Tank Dell vowed to be ready at the start of the Houston Texans' off-season workout programs. And a recent Instagram post indicates that Dell is trending in the right direction.
Dell posted a video of him working alongside wide receivers coach Brandon White of the Receiver Factory. The Instagram story showed Dell going through speed and agility training two months after he sustained a second-ending leg injury against the Denver Broncos on Dec. 3.
Dell went down during the final seconds of the first quarter against the Broncos. He had helped the Texans create a hole for running back Dameon Pierce, who scored a three-yard touchdown during the play. Unfortunately, Dell's contributions led to the leg injury.
Dell played a prominent role in the Texans' success prior to his injury. After the Texans made the former University of Houston prospect a third-round pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, Dell has established himself as one of the best young wideouts in the league.
Across 10 games last season, Dell recorded 709 yards on 47 catches and seven touchdowns. The relationship between Dell and rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud has developed into one of the top chemistries on and off the field.
'Going To Be Good!' Tank Dell Has Big Hopes for Texans' Future
"Tank is my brother, man — I don’t think blood could make us any closer," Stroud said. "We’re really close and that chemistry has shown on the field and we’re going to build that, if you know what I’m saying.
"It’s going to happen naturally though because we’re boys and you don’t force stuff with your boy. We both are tremendously excited to keep this going and work really hard to be great, and hopefully do whatever we need to do to be great here, and we’re excited for that."
