NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans added six rookies in the 2023 NFL draft and each will have an opportunity to carve out a role. Now, we know what number each prospect will be wearing as they take the field for the Titans this fall.

Peter Skoronski, Offensive Lineman, No. 77

Skoronski will be dawning the number Titans' former offensive tackle Taylor Lewan used to wear. Per Lewan's "Bussin' with the Boys" podcast, Lewan was asked by Skoronski to wear the number. Lewan obliged and Skoronski will now try to not only fit in Lewan's old number, but fill his shoes as a player on the Titans offensive line.

Will Levis, Quarterback, No. 8

Anytime a Titans' fan sees the number eight is is hard not to think of former Titans' quarterback Marcus Mariota and his divisive time with the team. Levis will come in and try to remove any lingering feelings with the number and put it in a better light. If Levis fails, the number will certainly be considered cursed.

Tyjae Spears, Running Back, No. 32

Numbers in the thirties just don't seem to look right on smaller running backs. Spears is five-foot-nine and thirty two just doesn't seem like a good fit. You can see why Spears would choose that number though. Spears wore 22 throughout college, but obviously that number is already taken.

Josh Whyle, Tight End, No. 81

In recent years the 81 jersey has led to some productive tight end play. From 2017 to 2020, former Titan Jonnu Smith wore the number and had some nice seasons with the team. In 2022, we saw Austin Hooper wear the number and Whyle could look to fill his role this year, so the number seems fitting.

Jaelyn Duncan, Offensive Line, No. 79

This is a bad omen. There are already concerns about Duncan's work ethic and love for football from his scouting reports. The last player to wear this number as a rookie, uh, didn't work out so well.

Colton Dowell, Wide Receiver, No. 14

I mean, 14 is okay for a receiver. Dowell is going to have to work hard just to make the team so worrying about his number seems a bit unnecessary.
