NASHVILLE - Peter Skoronski grew up a fan of the Green Bay Packers, where his grandfather, Bob, was a member of two Super Bowl championships.

However, on Friday, the former Northwestern standout left tackle traded in the green and gold for two-tone blue during his introduction to the Nashville media in his introductory press conference prior to the second round of the NFL Draft.

General manager Ran Carthonand, head coach Mike Vrabel introduced Skoronski, whose parent accompanied him to Nashville, and spoke about their newest lineman.

"It is with great pleasure Mike, and I sit here with our first pick together, here in attendance with his parents, Bob and Ann," said Carthon. "As we said last night, Peter's a guy we coveted, who we didn't expect to be here for us at 11, and we're thrilled to have him."

As it has been throughout the predraft process, Skoronski's arm length was among the first topics the newest Titans faced as he sat alone at the table.

"It was a big talking point, but my opinion is there's so much more that goes into being a good tackle than just arm length," said Skoronski. "There's so much more to blocking than that and at the end of the day it's about blocking people and I could do that in college as there's so much more with footwork and punching and pushing through with your hands. That's something I have to continue to work on to get better, so I think that means more than your arms are just some measurement."

Skoronski was also asked about the possibility of moving inside to guard should the need be.

"I'm just going to try to do what I can to help this team, and if that's what I'm asked to do, I'll do it," said Skoronski. "Obviously, it's an adjustment, having only played tackle, and the games are a lot faster there; it's a lot different."

Regardless of where he ultimately ends up playing, Skoronski has the physical ability to be a long-term starter for the Titans and an immediate upgrade from last season, where the Titans line allowed the fifth most sacks in the league, with a whopping 49 through the 17 game season.
