Here's a look at some of the most important dates of the NFL offseason, particularly how it relates to the 2024 NFL Draft:
East-West Shrine Bowl
- Date: Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024
- Time: 7 p.m. CT
- Location: Ford Center at The Star (Frisco, Texas)
- TV: NFL Network
- What to know: The East-West Shrine Bowl gives talented college football players an opportunity to play in one last game to impress NFL scouts. It's not quite as prestigious as the Reese's Senior Bowl, but it's still a chance for some skilled prospects to show off their talents.
Reese's Senior Bowl
- Date: Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024
- Time: 12 p.m. CT
- Location: Hancock Whitney Stadium (Mobile, Ala.)
- TV: NFL Network
- What to know: Invitations are sent to the top seniors across college football with an opportunity to showcase their skills in front of NFL coaches and scouts. Aside from the NFL Scouting Combine, this might be the most important event for prospects entering the draft. There's also a Tennessee Titans connection: defensive line coach Terrell Williams being is head coach of the American Team.
NFL Scouting Combine
- Dates: Thursday, Feb. 29 - Sunday, March 3
- Times: 2 p.m. CT (Thursday-Friday); 12 p.m. CT (Saturday-Sunday)
- Location: Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis, Ind.)
- TV: NFL Network
- What to know: Without question, the most important event for prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft. The combine is an invitation-only event in which players will go through a serious of on-field drills and off-field interviews to get better acquainted with teams across the league. It's an opportunity for prospects to increase their draft stock while allowing NFL organizations to scout potential selections. All four days of the NFL Scouting Combine are televised.
2024 NFL League Year Starts
- Date: Wednesday, March 13, 2024
- Time: 3 p.m. CT
- What to know: Beginning at 3 p.m. CT, the 2024 league year begins. At this time, the trading period begins for clubs after the expiration of 2023 contracts. This is also the first day that teams can sign free agents. Clubs may begin having contact with and negotiating with certified agents of players who are unrestricted free agents on March 11, 2024. No signings may occur until March 13, 2024 at 3 p.m. CT.
2024 NFL Draft
- Dates: Thursday, April 25, 2024 - Saturday, April 27, 2024
- Times: 7 p.m. CT (Thursday); 6 p.m. CT (Friday); 11 a.m. CT (Saturday)
- Location: Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza (Detroit, Mich.)
- TV: ABC, ESPN, ESPN App, NFL Network
- What to know: The biggest day of the offseason in the NFL. For three days, teams will fill the biggest voids on their roster in hopes of building a Super Bowl contender in the future. For the Titans, this is an important draft for new coach Brian Callahan, who needs to find help at offensive tackle, wide receiver, and cornerback. Tennessee won't have to wait too long before making a selection, owning the No. 7 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
