Tennessee Titans Best Fantasy Options vs New Orleans Saints
The Tennessee Titans' regular season kicks off today which also signals the beginning of the fantasy football season. The Titans have a few options that could be great pickups for daily fantasy or season-long matchups.
DeAndre Hopkins, WR - $6,900
Hopkins and quarterback Ryan Tannehill were able to quickly create chemistry during training camp despite Hopkins joining the team late in the offseason process. Tannehill is a veteran who has played a ton of football like Hopkins, so it stands to reason they would be able to get on the same page quickly.
Hopkins also represents good value as well. Hopkins is ranked as the 14th most expensive option at receiver and could put up a top-10 day in terms of production. Hopkins should be a red zone threat as well, giving him good odds of scoring a touchdown.
Chig Okonkwo, TE - $3,800
The Titans' second-year tight end was one of the most explosive players in the league last year, leading all tight ends in catches of 40 yards or more, with three. He has proven that he can deliver big plays when the ball finds him. We could also see Okonkwo used in the backfield which creates better scoring opportunities.
The value is just too much to pass up though. Okonkwo is ranked 16th at his position and costs less than $4,000. His explosive nature already makes that a good value, but add in the situation and Okonkwo could be a week-winner.
Tyjae Spears, RB - $4,900
The 46th running back on the list, Spears represents a great value and good story. Spears will be making his NFL debut in his home state of Louisiana, as he grew up just less than an hour north of New Orleans and he should get an opportunity to leave an impression.
The Saints love man coverage and Spears should get some opportunities against linebackers in the pass game. Add that to the fact that the Titans should be attacking the perimeter, which plays to Spears' skillset and you have the makings of a great performance.
