12 Sacks and 42 Quarterback Pressures Later, Titans Release Left Tackle Andre Dillard
NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans on Friday released left tackle Andre Dillard after one dreadful season with the team.
Dillard, 28, who signed a three-year deal last offseason for $29 million, played 16 games in 2023. He was part of an offensive line that was one of the worst in the NFL in several categories last season.
Dillard allowed 12 sacks, which was tied for first in the NFL. He also allowed 42 quarterback pressures. According to Pro Football Focus, Dillard ranked 108th out of 136 offensive tackles.
He came to the Titans after spending four seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He was the No. 22 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Releasing Dillard will free up $2.9 million of available salary cap space, according to Overthecap.com.
The Titans are expected to take an offensive tackle in the April 25-27 NFL Draft, possibly with their first selection at No. 7 overall.
