Current And Former Titans Enjoy A Day At The Racetrack
NASHVILLE - For those who aren't fans of or have never been to a NASCAR race, it is an event that extends beyond just the cars going fast and turning left for 400 miles.
In the name of full disclosure here, I've attended multiple races at Daytona, Talladega, and now Nashville. At each event, there are interactive events that take place outside the track, and in the case of Daytona, all around the area- having the ocean is a big draw to why I went the first time- and there are things of interest for people of all ages.
So it's no surprise that when the NASCAR series stopped at Nashville Superspeedway- It's actually in Lebanon, Wilson Co, not Davidson- some current and former members of the Tennessee Titans would take the opportunity to join the fun.
Rookies Will Levis, and Colton Dowell, who is from Lebanon, were in attendance on Sunday, along with former Titans Taylor Lewan and Will Compton.
In his usual style, Lewan posted a video to Twitter of him with Levis and captioned it as "the video vrabel (Titans head coach Mike Vrabel) is scared to see."
The Titans official Twitter account also got into the act, posting a video of Levis signing the track at the start/finish line and one of him and Dowell on the track.
Of course, Levis and Dowell, as rookies, are getting their first dose of NFL stardom as part of the VIPs that could access the track before the event. Still, their focus will return to football as they move closer to the beginning of their first season as professional football players.
