Former Titans Coach Mike Vrabel Lands Consulting Role with Cleveland Browns
NASHVILLE — Former Tennessee Titans coach Mike Vrabel is reportedly back in the National Football League.
Vrabel, who was shut out of the 2024 hiring cycle after being fired by the Titans, is taking a coaching/personnel role on Kevin Stefanski's staff with the Cleveland Browns. ESPN's Adam Schefter and Field Yates were the first to report the hire.
Vrabel coached in Tennessee for six years, leading the Titans to four consecutive winning seasons. They reached the 2019 AFC Championship Game and were top seed in the 2021 AFC playoffs. He also was Coach of the Year in 2021.
In total, Vrabel's record was 54 wins and 45 losses, but 18 of those defeats came in his final 24 games.
Vrabel's move to the Browns is a homecoming of sorts. He grew up in northeast Ohio and played college football at Ohio State. Before joining the Texans as linebackers coach in 2014, Vrabel spent three seasons coaching for the Buckeyes.
