NFL Scouting Combine: Brock Bowers, the Best Tight End in Draft, Still Likes Tennessee and Titans

But the chances of the Tennessee Titans selecting the Georgia All-American with the No. 7 overall draft pick would appear to be slim or none. The Titans first need an offensive tackle or wide receiver.

INDIANAPOLIS — If All-America tight end Brock Bowers could control his NFL Draft selection in April, he still likes the Tennessee Titans.

Speaking at the NFL Scouting Combine on Thursday, the Georgia star was asked again about his preferred landing spot in the National Football League.

"Whoever wants to take me. It's hard to say," Bowers told Pro Football Talk. "I'd be all right with going to the Tennessee Titans. I liked it down in the Georgia (and) Tennessee area. I thought it was cool. That would be a cool spot."

The two-time John Mackey Award winner and three-time All-American had generated attention during Super Bowl week when he said on Pro Football Week that he wanted to play for Tennessee.

Bowers clarified his remarks Thursday during a media session.

“I just kind of mentioned it as a cool place to live,” Bowers said. “Nashville, Tennessee, would be cool.”

At Georgia, Bowers set SEC records for tight ends for most receptions (175), receiving yards (2,538), and receiving touchdowns (26) while winning two national titles.

He said he has met with at least 15 teams, including the Titans. Bowers said the Titans conversation was fairly standard.

"It went good, I thought," Bowers said. "Just answering those core questions and watching film. Just letting them know about my football knowledge."

Lucas Oil Stadium is a familiar place for Bowers since the Dawgs won a national championship game there.

"It was cool walking in there," Bowers said. "It brought back some incredible memories."

The Titans have the No.7 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and most draft boards have Bowers among the top 15 picks. But it's likely the Titans will focus on an offensive lineman or wide receiver. Either way, Nashville has a friend in Brock Bowers.
