NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans are wrapping up their last week of summer practices before training camp begins at the end of July and it appears their rookie quarterback did not go out on a good note. Will Levis threw three interceptions on the day, the first seen by the media out of the Titans quarterbacks during the last four weeks of practice.

Not only did Levis throw three interceptions, but two of them came on back-to-back plays. Something that had to be a bit frustrating for Levis certainly. Elijah Molden got the first interception dropping back from a pre-snap alignment in the box and made the play. While frustrating still, Molden is going into his third season and does have experience.

The second interception came from an undrafted free agent rookie in Alonzo Davis though. When you are a high draft pick like Levis and you throw consecutive interceptions, having the last one go to an undrafted guy has to sting.

Rashad Weaver was able to corral the third interception on a tipped pass. Something that isn't always the quarterbacks fault, but nonetheless, after the day Levis had had up until that point, it surely didn't sit well.

More than anything, Levis assuredly wanted to get some positive momentum going into training camp. He has to be feeling the pressure knowing that he is competing with Malik Willis for the backup spot and he is the favorite to win it.

If the Titans believed in Willis, they wouldn't have traded up into the second round to select Levis the very next year after selecting Willis. So, Levis has to at least realize that and it could make for some extra pressure. On top of the already intense pressure of being a rookie quarterback.

Levis said recently that this opening phase of practices was "experiemental" in the sense he is fine making mistakes as he learns. Even with that mindset, a day like Wednesday has to be a tough pill to swallow for the rookie.
