Tennessee Titans Extend Long Snapper and 5-Time Pro Bowler Morgan Cox for 2024
NASHVILLE — Morgan Cox, a five-time Pro Bowler, will continue to be the Tennessee Titans' long snapper. The team announced on Thursday that Cox had agreed to a contract extension for 2024.
Cox, 37, is entering his 15th NFL season. He signed with Tennessee in 2021 after 11 years with the Baltimore Ravens.
In 2023, Cox helped placekicker Nick Folk achieve the highest field goal accuracy in the NFL (96.7 percent) and enabled Ryan Stonehouse to lead the NFL in gross punting average (53.1).
Cox also was a finalist for the Bart Starr Award, given annually to "the NFL player who best exemplifies outstanding character and leadership in the home, on the field, and in the community."
The new contract for Cox leaves Titans general manager Ran Carthon with decisions to make on 23 free agents.
NFL teams can begin negotiating with free agents on March 11 and can officially sign them on March 13, which marks the start of the league calendar year.
