Titans Losing Assistant Defensive Line Coach To College Program
NASHVILLE - Kenechi Udeze was a standout defensive tackle for the University of Southern California, where he earned first-team All-American honors, and was a first-round draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 2004; he spent the last two seasons serving as the assistant defensive line coach for the Tennessee Titans, is moving on.
According to a report by The Athletic's Bruce Feldman, Udeze has accepted a position as an analyst working as a pass rush specialist coach for the University of Houston.
As a player, Udeze joined the Vikings in 2004 after a highly decorated career for the Trojans, including winning a national championship in 2003. His playing career was interrupted in 2008 it was announced that Udeze was diagnosed by doctors with a form of Leukemia
He began his coaching career 2009 as an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the University of Washington.
As a coach, Udeze has spent time at Washington, Pittsburgh, USC, LSU, and Vanderbilt on the college side, and Seattle and Minnesota, in the NFL, before joining the Titans.
