NASHVILLE - Tom Brady is, by every measure, the greatest NFL quarterback of all time, so when he reached out to Will Levis following his slide to round two of the recent NFL Draft, it was a special thing for the future Tennessee Titans quarterback.

Brady contacted Levis via video to encourage the young man in a dark and public moment in his life and professional career. Of course, Brady did not suffer the embarrassment of sliding in the draft; the Patriots great understood how sitting and waiting for his name to be called during the draft made him feel as a rookie, waiting excitedly to realize his NFL dreams.

“Waiting around on draft day, it sucks,” Brady told Levis in the video. “I know the feeling. It’s not easy. But I promise you one thing; it’s going to make everything that happens from this point on that much sweeter.”

It was the first advice Brady would share with Levis, and it wouldn’t be the last.

The two met recently at an event in California, where Levis, Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, and Anthony Richardson also spent time with Brady in a private setting where the legend shared advice with the newest generation of quarterbacks.

Levis recently shared his experience of meeting his childhood idol.

“That was such a cool experience,” Levis said. “For Fanatics and everyone involved to think of that and do that for all of us, was really like (being) a little kid; all of our dreams come true. I’m just so thankful for that, and it’s cool to say I’ve hung out with Tom Brady. It’s pretty sweet.”

As for some advice Levis has taken from Brady, the rookie has this to say.

“At the end of the day, it all comes down to how you perform, you know?” said Levis. “All the stuff you do off the field, all the stuff that comes with it, and all the stuff that he’s going to have coming to him after his career, it’s not because he’s a great dude. He is. But it’s because he dominated on the football field. Just keeping the main thing the main thing.”

For Levis, the main thing now is to continue to work to improve every aspect of his game as he continues to grow and learn until he gets his chance to translate the work to the playing field.
