Tennessee Titans Roster Rundown: Receivers

This might be one of the two easiest position groups to preview because it seems mostly locked in.

NASHVILLE - As the 2023 NFL season draws closer, it's time to begin our run-through of the Tennessee Titans roster. Now it's time to look at the receivers room, where there doesn't appear to be many potential open spots in this group that could be settled unless, of course, there's a late roster addition.

The Players

Treylon Burks, Kyle Phillips, Chris Moore, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Racey McMath, Reggie Roberson Jr., Mason Kinsey, Colton Dowell, Kearis Jackson,  Jacob Copeland, Tre'Shaun Harrison, Gavin Holmes.

Starters: Burks, Phillips, and Moore seem locked into the top three spots, with Phillips being the slot receiver, though Moore could also take some reps there as well. Westbrook-Ikhine could also see time alongside Burks on the outside and could see starts depending on what formations the offense might want to open with on any given week.

Backups: Right now, I'm sticking with the status quo of McMath and Kinsey, along with Dowell, to fill out this group.  However, should the Titans add a certain star receiver-Nope, not mentioning his name, but have to acknowledge the potential for him signing- then this could change.

Also, there is a chance that one of the others, from among Jackson, Copeland, Harrison, and Holmes to push McMath and Kinsey for a place at the back end of this group.

While Dowell showed flashes of what convinced the Titans to select him, he still needs work, but it is highly unlikely that the team would take a chance on trying to slip him through waivers, so as a draft pick, his place seems assured as long as he continues to show improvement.

Jackson took reps during the offseason program as a punt, and kickoff returner, which could help him add value in his bid to grab a place here.

Practice Squad: It's a strong possibility that two of the three remaining players could end up here. Copeland, Harrison, and Holmes are then left to battle for their place on the practice squad.

Final Thought: Again, this group seems mostly set, but as we enter and begin training camp, there could well be some movement here.
