Three Players I'm Looking See Improve In Minicamp

When it comes to the Tennessee Titans offense, here are three players I'm looking to see improve during this week's minicamp.

NASHVILLE - The Tennessee Titans are opening their minicamp practices, beginning Tuesday, to the media for the next three days, and there are a lot of things to watch during these practices as the season approaches.

Among those I want to see during the next three days, three players, in particular, stand out to me because of their physical attributes and ability we've seen so far during the recently completed OTAs.

Josh Whyle

The Titans selected the 6-foot-6 tight end for his athletic ability and his size. The rookie demonstrated both those things during the rookie minicamp, where he made multiple spectacular catches down the field from fellow rookie Will Levis.

Whyle didn't see much time with Ryan Tannehill during the recent OTAs, but it seems to reason that he will begin to do that in this week's minicamp, and I want to see how he has progressed and what he can do as the second tight end behind Chig Okonkwu.

Racey McMath

Big (6-foot-3, 220 pounds) and fast, McMath came to the Titans as a project. In year three in the NFL, it's time for the project to begin to show the production his physical attributes suggest exists.

McMath appeared in nine games as a rookie, mostly on special teams, and added two receptions for eight yards.

Hasan Haskins

Haskins is a big back (6-foot-2, 228 pounds) and was the No. 2 option behind Derrick Henry last season. However, with the addition of Tyjae Spears and the dynamic playmaking ability he possessed, Haskins is in danger of falling to No. 3 in the running back order.

Haskins has the running ability but needs to show he can also be a weapon if on the field in the passing game. Last season, Hasking received 25 carries, gaining 93 yards.

Of course, playing behind Henry, his carries were limited, but if Hasking can show more during this minicamp and beyond, he could see his workload increase some. It's also conceivable that Haskins is auditioning for a larger role in the future once Henry is likely gone after this season.

All three of these players will likely get some time with the first unit and with Tannehill. This is their time to show us that they have improved their game and can add depth to the roster of playmakers available this season.
