NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans are potentially looking to add free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, but they won't be alone. The Titans have a meeting scheduled with Hopkins for Sunday which is his first visit of his free agency, but he will take his second visit next week when he sees the New England Patriots according to a new report.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Hopkins will meet with the Patriots next week after he takes his visit to the Titans. While the hope might be that the Titans would be the only real suitor, that is obviously not going to be the case.

Hopkins, despite his age, will be highly-sought after due to the ridiculous numbers he's put up throughout his career. While he may not be in his prime, it is hard to argue against the production.

In 145 career games, Hopkins has amassed 853 catches for 11,298 yards and 71 touchdowns. He is going to be a hall of famer. It is likely that even more teams enter the Hopkins battle as time goes on.

The Titans will still have the first visit though. They have a chance to make the first impression the best impression. While the Patriots have their own reasons to want to sign Hopkins, the Titans should be able to trump any of their angles, whether it be money or role or the difficulty of their division.

If Hopkins truly wants to thread the needle of getting paid and having a chance to make the playoffs, the Titans seem like a great option. There are not many teams out there at this point that can do both.

Mike Vrabel said he is past recruiting, but if the Titans want to land Hopkins while his suitors increase, some recruiting may need to happen. Hopefully, Vrabel and the Titans are working on their pitch for Hopkins as we speak, or write.
