The Tennessee Titans hired Chad Brinker as the team’s Assistant General Manager. He joins the Titans after spending 13 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, most recently as Personnel/Football Administration Executive.

In his role at the Packers, Brinker helped direct the team’s pro personnel department, which included development of strategies for unrestricted free agency and the undrafted free agent process, while also doing year-round analysis of the other NFL rosters. Additionally, Brinker worked with the General Manager and Director of Football Operations to incorporate long-range planning for player contract management related to the salary cap.

“Chad brings a unique skill set to our franchise,” said Ran Carthon, Titans General Manager. “He has touched every facet of the personnel department – working in pro personnel, college scouting, cap management and analytics. We are excited to add his knowledge and experience to our evolving personnel group.”

Brinker brings a variety of experiences to the Titans personnel department. Prior his promotion in Green Bay, he spent three seasons (2017-19) as Assistant Director of Pro Scouting/Salary Cap Analyst. He spent six seasons (2012-17) as a Pro Scout for the Packers, which also included some college scouting responsibilities. He originally joined Green Bay as a Scouting Assistant in 2010.

As a player, Brinker was a two-time All-Mid-American Conference selection at running back for Ohio University, while also competing on the Bobcat track team. He also earned two degrees while at Ohio – a bachelor’s degree in specialized studies and a master’s degree in sports administration. Brinker signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted college free agent in 2003.

Following his playing career, he worked for two Fortune 100 companies before joining the Packers personnel department. In 2021, Brinker earned an executive MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
