Top 3 Titans 'Best Bets' for 2023 Regular Season

The public perception of the Tennessee Titans varies wildly, and that creates some tremendous value on some of the possible wagers if you are optimistic about their season.

In this story:

The Tennessee Titans could get a top-five pick or make the playoffs depending on who you ask, and the line is mostly drawn between local voices who see the team every day and national voices who are not high on the Titans' chances to be good this season.

With that massive void in perception, it is no surprise that the gambling markets are not high on the Titans as a team or on their players. If you are someone who is optimistic about the Titans' 2023 prospects, you could find some tremendous value.

Derrick Henry Over 1150.5 Rushing Yards / minus-112

Henry was in a backup role the first two years of his career, but ever since he erupted at the end of 2018, Henry has been the best running back in the NFL. Henry missed half a season in 2021 and still finished with 937 rushing yards.

Speaking of 2021, Henry suffered a stress fracture in his foot. It wasn't a ligament issue or soft tissue, it was a freak injury that isn't expected to repeat any time soon.

If Henry is able to avoid injury as he normally has, he will certainly go over. There is no reality where Henry plays at least 15 games and doesn't go over this mark. To me, this bet is all about Henry's health and I'd bet on the work ethic of the King.

Tennessee Titans Over 7.5 Wins / minus-132

We all saw last season, right? The Titans led the league in players placed on injured reserve with 34 and still only lost the division by one game. One game that came down to a controversial fumble call while the Titans had a squad full of backups on the field including Josh Dobbs at quarterback.

The Titans had to have a historic, injury-driven collapse, losing seven straight games to finish the season for them to finish with only seven wins. The odds of that happening again are quite low.

If the Titans are even a touch healthier with Mike Vrabel still leading the way and a second-place schedule, which they haven't had in the past two years, it is difficult to see how they would not win at least eight games this season.

Tennessee Titans to win AFC South / plus-310

First, go back and read the logic for the Titans going over 7.5 wins. Now, take into account that the Jacksonville Jaguars, who barely survived the Titans' junior varsity in Week 18 of 2022, will play a first-place schedule instead of a last place one.

Outside of the logic of the decision is the incredible value of the bet. Out of all of the teams with the second-best odds to win their division in the NFL, the Titans' odds are the longest. Thinking the Chargers overtaking the Chiefs, as an example, is more likely than the Titans overtaking the Jaguars is quite the thought

Those who believe in the Titans will jump all over this and should.
