The Buffalo Bills selected RB Zack Moss with the No. 86 pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. Moss was raised in Florida and spent three years at Mater Academy Charter School in Hialeah Gardens, FL. He transferred to Hallandale High School and racked up 1,098 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior for the Chargers. Moss first committed to the University of Miami but ended up enrolling at the University of Utah.

Moss flashed upside in 2017 when he gained 1,416 combined yards with 10 TDs and 29 catches on 243 touches. The following season he shined again on early downs (179/1096/11) while losing value in the passing game (8/50/1). His season ended after nine games due to a right knee injury that required surgery. In 2019, Moss (5-foot-9, 223 pounds) regained his previous form while delivering a special season with 1,804 combined yards and 17 touchdowns on 263 touches as a junior.

Strength and power are his calling cards while ranking below the top running backs in the NFL in speed (4.65 in the 40-yard dash) and quickness. After the snap, his first instinct is to find the open field while allowing a play to develop. Moss slides into running lanes with a plan to step on the gas at the first sign of daylight.

Although he lacks home-run speed, Moss has the ability to break tackles at the line and in the secondary. He has three-down potential while projecting well as a receiving threat out of the backfield and a decent pass blocker. The key here is the medical reports on his knee injury.

2016 stats (Freshman; Utah): 382 rush yards, 2 TD, 4 receiving yards (10 games)
