Washington WR Cody Latimer arrested on five charges including illegal discharge of firearm
Washington wide receiver Cody Latimer was arrested early Saturday morning on five separate charges including: illegal discharge of a firearm and reckless endangerment. According to the police report, those who called 911 heard arguing and what they believed to be gunshots. Only one injury was reported from the incident and it's not believed to be from a gunshot wound. Latimer was taken into custody and taken to the Douglas County Detention Facility.

Madelyn Burke: Washington wide receiver Cody Latimer was arrested early Saturday morning on several charges, including reckless endangerment, prohibited use of a weapon and illegal discharge of a firearm. According to the police report, those who called 9-1-1 heard arguing and what they believed to be gunshots inside of an apartment, of the three parties involved in the incident, one person had minor injuries not related to a gunshot, and no other injuries were reported.
Now, this is still an open investigation. And Latimer was taken into custody and transported to the Douglas County Detention Facility. Washington released a statement after the arrest saying, quote, "We are aware of the situation and have informed the NFL league office. We will continue to gather more information and have no further comment at this time." Latimer signed with Washington in free agency after the wideout had a career season with the Giants in twenty nineteen recording twenty four receptions for three hundred yards and two touchdowns in fifteen games.
