Allegations made against Washington football, minority shareholders looking to sell shares

Working for the team was “the most miserable experience of my life.”

According to the Washington Post, 15 women have come forward and "reportedly" accused former Washington football employees of sexual harassment and verbal abuse. Now, ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that Washington’s NFL team hired DC attorney Beth Wilkinson to review the organization’s protocols, per league sources.

The women all worked for the team from 2006 to 2019 which is most of Daniel Snyders's tenure as the team owner. One of them saying working for the team was “the most miserable experience of my life” and another shared that she and her co-worker, "cried in the bathroom about the realization their dream job of working in the NFL came with what they characterized as relentless sexual harassment and verbal abuse that was ignored— and in some cases, condoned -by top team executives."

Washington has already been in the public's crosshairs over their team name so what will be the fallout from these allegations?Well according to ESPN, some of the team's minority shareholders have hired Moag & Company, in order to find buyers of their shares of the franchise.

Sports Illustrated's Kaitlin O'Toole is joined by Washington team reporter Chris Russell and SI's writer Jenny Vrentas for more on this.
