Washington Football and the New Orleans Saints Are Off to Bright Starts After Week 1

SI senior writer Albert Breer shares his thoughts on what he saw from the Saints and Washington football in Week 1

Week 1 for the 2020 NFL season kicked off after an unprecedented offseason with every team in the league forced to make adjustments over the last few months. Week 1 had Tom Brady making his first start with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Los Angeles Rams playing their first game in their new stadium. Week 1 also showed that the Saints could be a balanced team with their offense, defense, and special teams all contributing in their win over the Bucs. In addition, the Washington Football Team demonstrated their resilience Week 1 after an offseason marred with controversy, and head coach Ron Rivera's cancer diagnosis.
