Atlanta Falcons Reportedly Ready to Move on from Head Coach Dan Quinn
Sports Illustrated
The Atlanta Falcons are reportedly going to fire their head coach Dan Quinn. This news comes as not quite a shock after Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Panthers. The Falcons are now 0-5 for the season and are apparently ready to move on.
According to Jeff Schults of the Athletic, the teams firing of Quinn is, “All but finalized” and an announcement is expected to come on Monday or Tuesday. Quinn is in his sixth season as Atlanta's head coach but the Falcons haven’t posted a winning season since 2017. Atlanta has gone 7-9 in each of the last two years.
Quinn previously worked as the defensive coordinator with the Seahawks but has struggled to oversee a defensive turnaround for the Falcons this season. The Falcons have allowed 32.2 points per game in 2020. The last time Atlanta had a 0-5 start was in 1997.
