New York Jets have Jets have agreed to a five-year deal with Robert Saleh

The Jets have agreed to a five-year deal with Saleh to make him their new head coach.

After nearly two weeks of searching for a new head coach the Jets have confirmed they are moving forward with Robert Saleh. As first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter the Jets have agreed to a five-year deal with Saleh to make him their new head coach. It’s also expected that Saleh will take 49ers passing game coordinator Mike LaFleur as his offensive coordinator. Saleh has spent the last four years as the San Francisco 49ers' defensive coordinator. In 2020, they had a top-10 defense in total yards, rush yards and pass yards and in 2019 under his direction they earned the NFC's top seed. The Jets have not yet finalized the details with Saleh.
