Blake Bortles, Cole Beasley retire from the NFL

Blake Bortles and Cole Beasley have both officially hung up their cleats.

Quarterback Blake Bortles and wide receiver Cole Beasley have both officially announced their retirement from the NFL.

The Buccaneers wide receiver has reportedly decided to retire from the NFL after 11 seasons effective immediately, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo. Rick Stroud of The Tampa Bay Times confirmed the news of Beasley’s retirement.

Bortles hasn't been heard from much since quarterbacking the Jacksonville Jaguars to the AFC Championship in 2017. The veteran had short stints with several teams before making the decision to walk away from the game.
