Game Date, Time Set For Vikings-Bengals in Week 15
The Vikings will face the Bengals at 12 p.m. central time at Cincinnati's Paycor Stadium on Saturday, December 16th, the NFL just announced. The date and time of that Week 15 matchup were previously left to be determined.
It'll be the opener of a three-game Saturday doubleheader on NFL Network. Following Vikings-Bengals, the Colts will host the Steelers at 3:30 and the Lions will host the Broncos at 7:15. While all three games will be televised on NFL Network, each will also be televised on local TV in their respective markets. That means fans in Minnesota who don't have NFLN will be able to watch the game on a local channel.
The Vikings are 7-7 all-time against the Bengals, most recently losing a 27-24 overtime heartbreaker in Cincinnati to open the 2021 season. They'll be looking to beat the Bengals on the road for just the second time ever, with the first coming back in 1992.
This means the Vikings will have a slightly shorter week to prepare for this game, but they'll get an extra day of rest ahead of their huge Christmas Eve home game against the NFC North-leading Lions. The Vikings are 20-10 all-time in games played on Saturdays, per the team.
This Vikings-Bengals matchup won't have Kirk Cousins and Joe Burrow like that 2021 game — both are out for the season. The Vikings' quarterback is TBD among Josh Dobbs, Jaren Hall, and Nick Mullens, while the Bengals' current starter is ex-Viking Jake Browning.
Here's the Vikings' remaining schedule:
- Week 13: BYE
