Vikings-Bears Live Score Updates: Monday Night Football Week 12

Follow along as the Vikings take on the Bears at U.S. Bank Stadium on MNF.
In this story:

Time for Monday Night Football.

It's a cold late-November night in Minneapolis, so it's fortunate for everyone involved that the Vikings play in an indoor stadium. They'll be honoring those who used to play in the cold tonight, wearing their "Vikings Classic" throwback uniforms for the second time ever as they host the Bears in an NFC North showdown.

Both teams are looking to bounce back from close losses. The Vikings' five-game winning streak came to an end last Sunday night in Denver, while the Bears blew a late two-score lead in Detroit in Justin Fields' first game back from injury.

There's a lot on the line for the home team tonight. They can give their playoff odds a big boost into the 70/75 percent range with a victory, while a loss would drop them closer to a 50/50 chance of reaching the postseason (even though they'd still be in the 7th spot for the time being). The Vikings also really need a win if they want to stay alive at all in their pursuit of the division-leading Lions, who lost to the Packers on Thanksgiving.

Offensively, Josh Dobbs and company will look to remain explosive while taking care of the football much better than they did against the Broncos. On defense, Brian Flores' group will try to get after Fields and force him into some mistakes. That starts up front with Danielle Hunter and D.J. Wonnum wreaking havoc from the edge.

Final Score: Bears 12, Vikings 10

Live updates

Fourth quarter

Bears 12, Vikings 10

0:10 — The Bears just went ahead on another Cairo Santos field goal. The Vikings had a chance to put the game away and couldn't do it. The FG was set up by Fields hitting D.J. Moore for a huge gain on third down.

3:28 — That's another turnover from Fields and the Bears. Josh Metellus forced the fumble and Anthony Barr was there to recover it.

Vikings 10, Bears 9

5:54 — A touchdown! Seriously! The first TD of the game goes from Josh Dobbs to T.J. Hockenson from 17 yards out. The Vikings somehow have the lead in this game.

9:46 — There's a turnover for the Bears, which the Vikings needed. Danielle Hunter forced a Justin Fields fumble and Sheldon Day recovered.

12:32 — Dobbs just threw his fourth pick of the night. This has been a complete nightmare for him. This one went off of Justin Jones and into the hands of Kyler Gordon.

Bears 9, Vikings 3

14:15 — That's another field goal from Cairo Santos, who has made three straight since missing his first. He drilled this one from 55 yards out to extend the Bears' lead to six. Can the Vikings get anything going on offense?

Third quarter

0:00 — As the third quarter comes to an end, the Bears are in Vikings territory looking to add to their lead. A touchdown would be awfully tough for the Vikings to overcome, considering how their offense has played tonight.

2:39 — Josh Dobbs just threw his third interception of the game. The Vikings went for it on 4th and short and Dobbs' pass intended for K.J. Osborn deflected into the air for an easy pick. That's three more turnovers.

Bears 6, Vikings 3

6:59 — Another Bears field goal gives them the lead back. They're continuing to dink and dunk on the Vikings with runs and screen passes.

12:07 — The Vikings just went for it on 4th and 7 from near midfield and only got 6 yards. Turnover on downs.

Second quarter

Bears 3, Vikings 3

0:00 — It's 3-3 at halftime. The Vikings finally moved the ball and tied it up before the break.

2:00 — The Bears are about to punt again. The Vikings have a chance to double dip here before and after halftime, but they've shown basically nothing on offense so far.

3:30 — Josh Dobbs should've thrown a pick-six there, which would've been his third interception of the half. Jaylon Johnson dropped it. This has been very rough.

7:28 — The Vikings just turned it over again. Another Dobbs interception, this one deflecting off of a Jordan Addison drop. This is gross for the Vikings (and both teams, really).

10:38 — The Bears are a mess. They followed up their takeaway with three consecutive penalties and are now punting.

11:25 — The slow start continues for the Vikings' offense. Josh Dobbs just threw a pick to Jaylon Johnson. Another turnover for Minnesota.

Bears 3, Vikings 0

13:35 — The Vikings' defense stiffened in the red zone and held the Bears to a short field goal.

First quarter

0:00 — The Bears just had a 2nd and 27 and managed to pick up a first down anyways. On 4th and 10, the Vikings blitzed Justin Fields and he found Cole Kmet for a big gain into the red zone.

4:14 — The Vikings' first possession did not last very long. They go three and out after Jordan Addison couldn't quite haul in a deep shot over double coverage and Josh Dobbs was sacked by Montez Sweat on third down.

5:53 — The Bears' opening possession just last more than nine minutes but resulted in zero points. They dinked and dunked it down the field but missed a 48-yard field goal. Ivan Pace Jr. had a sack and Danielle Hunter had a TFL to set up the long FGA.
