Vikings-Broncos Live Score Updates: Sunday Night Football Week 11

Follow along as the Vikings take on the Broncos in primetime.
In this story:

We've been waiting all day for Sunday night.

The Vikings' five-game winning streak is on the line tonight as they take on the Broncos in Denver. The eyes of the nation will be on Josh Dobbs, who was incredible in his first two games with Minnesota. Can he keep the magic rolling with his dual-threat ability?

The Broncos also have a winning streak of their own going, having won three in a row to salvage a season that started 1-5. A victory over the Vikings would be huge for their hopes of being in the playoff mix in the wild AFC.

When the Vikings have the ball, it'll be Dobbs and Kevin O'Connell attacking a defense that was abysmal to start the season but has been much better of late. Justin Jefferson wasn't activated for this game, but K.J. Osborn is back healthy for a pass-catcher corps led by T.J. Hockenson and Jordan Addison. Alexander Mattison has also cleared concussion protocol and will split snaps with Ty Chandler at running back.

When the Broncos have the ball, they'll be leaning on Javonte Williams and the ground game to control the clock. Sean Payton and company will also look to hit some big plays through the air with Russell Wilson finding players like Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy. Wilson will undoubtedly be under heavy pressure from Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores, whose group has been playing fantastic football during this winning streak.

Follow along below for live updates throughout Sunday night's game.

Final Score: Broncos 21, Vikings 20

Live Updates

Fourth Quarter

0:00 — The Vikings' winning streak is over. They couldn't mount a last-minute comeback. That's a tough loss in a very winnable game. The different was Minnesota having three turnovers to Denver's zero.

Broncos 21, Vikings 20

1:03 — The Broncos have the lead. Courtland Sutton just went up and caught a go-ahead touchdown pass over Mekhi Blackmon. The two-point conversion attempt was stuffed, so the Vikings just need a field goal.

Vikings 20, Broncos 15

3:17 — The Vikings converted two fourth downs on that drive but couldn't put the game away with a touchdown. They settle for a field goal. It'll be up to their defense to finish this one.

9:24 — What a call by Kevin O’Connell. The Vikings just ran a fake punt from their own 31 and got a huge chunk on the direct snap to Ty Chandler.

Vikings 17, Broncos 15

10:37 — The Broncos have to settle for a field goal for the fifth time. Jerry Jeudy couldn't quite secure a touchdown catch on third down. The Vikings' defense has done its part.

12:37 — Ouch. The Vikings' first play from scrimmage is an interception, their third turnover of the night. Josh Dobbs got hit as he threw and the ball floated into the arms of a Broncos defender.

Vikings 17, Broncos 12

12:40 — A Broncos penalty and then a D.J. Wonnum sack cause Denver's drive to stall out in the red zone. They settle for their fourth field goal.

Third Quarter

0:00 — The Broncos on just outside of the red zone as the third quarter comes to a close. Big 15 minutes coming up.

2:48 — With the Vikings already in field goal range and looking to add to their lead, Alexander Mattison just coughed up the team's second fumble of the night.

Vikings 17, Broncos 9

7:55 — The Josh Dobbs train keeps rolling. He just ran for a touchdown on 3rd and 8, marking the third consecutive game where he's had at least one rushing TD and at least one passing TD.

Second Quarter

Vikings 10, Broncos 9

0:00 — Denver gets another field goal before the break. Josh Metellus couldn't secure a potential interception in the end zone. On the Vikings' previous possession, Kevin O'Connell chose to punt on 4th and 1 from roughly midfield.

Vikings 10, Broncos 6

4:08 — The Broncos respond with a field goal drive of their own, getting a couple big chunks through the air against rookie corner Mekhi Blackmon.

Vikings 10, Broncos 3

8:09 — The Vikings have to settle for a field goal after another nice drive. Big catches by Brandon Powell and T.J. Hockenson got the ball into the red zone, but a sack pushed the Vikings back.

Vikings 7, Broncos 3

14:53 — Josh Dobbs continues to be magic. He just shrugged off a Broncos tackle attempt and hit Josh Oliver for a short touchdown pass. This dude is incredible.

First Quarter

0:00 — The Vikings will have a third and 1 from the Broncos' 3 to start the second quarter. Their run game has been dominant on this drive. Both Ty Chandler and Alexander Mattison are picking up chunks on the ground.

5:01 — Both teams traded punts on their second offensive possessions. A defensive battle so far.

Broncos 3, Vikings 0

10:28 — Thanks to Danielle Hunter's 12th sack of the season, the Vikings were able to hold the Broncos to three points.

13:38 — That started poorly for the Vikings. On third and short, they had T.J. Hockenson take the snap and pitch it to Josh Dobbs, who got crushed and lost a fumble.
