Vikings Rookie WR Jordan Addison Cited For Speeding, Reckless Driving

Addison was doing 140 in a 55 around 3 a.m. Thursday morning.

Vikings rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison was cited in St. Paul on Thursday morning for speeding and reckless driving. He was going 140 miles per hour in a 55 MPH zone just after 3 a.m., according to the citation. Minnesota State Patrol pulled over the Vikings' first round pick, who was driving a Lamborghini Urus.

"Just after 3 a.m., early Thursday morning, a Minnesota State Patrol trooper was traveling eastbound on Interstate 94 near Dale Street when they observed a driver in a Lamborghini Urus traveling 140 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone," reads the incident report. "The trooper made a traffic stop and identified the driver as Jordan Addison, 21, of Frederick, Maryland. Addison was issued a citation by the Minnesota State Patrol for speeding and reckless driving. This remains an open investigation."

The Vikings released the following statement: “We are aware of last night’s traffic incident involving Jordan Addison and are gathering additional information.”

Addison was drafted by the Vikings with the 23rd overall pick in this year's draft after a standout college career at Pitt and USC. The 2021 Biletnikoff Award winner missed most of the team's offseason program with an undisclosed injury. He's in line to be one of the top receivers in Minnesota's offense this season.
