Jeff Carter of L.A. Kings answers boos with goal in return to Philadelphia

Jeff Carter was traded by the Philadelphia Flyers to Columbus in 2011. Eight months later, the Blue Jackets flipped the forward to the Los Angeles Kings. Tonight, due to the lockout shortened schedule that precluded Eastern and Western Conference teams from meeting during the 2012-13 regular season, he finally returned to the Wells Fargo Center in Philly for the first time.
The trade to Columbus was unwanted, as Carter had just signed a long-term deal with the Flyers, but the Philly faithful still felt inclined to give him all they had and they gave him the Zach Parise treatment, booing every time he touched the puck.
Carter responded by opening the scoring early in the second period with this:
Giving the crowd something more to cheer, Carter later delivered a crosscheck to Kimmo Timonen that wiped out a goal that would have given the Kings a 2-0 lead in the period, but they went on to win 3-2.
Oddly, the tweet from their official feed didn't quite grasp the hard feelings in the City of Brotherly Love ...
