A member of the New Jersey Devils organization learned on Wednesday morning that he will stand trial for an alleged sexual assault.

Ben Johnson, a third-round pick in 2012 who signed a three-year, two-way deal with the Devils just last month, is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old female in March of 2013 at a night club in Windsor, Ontario, where he plays for the OHL's Windsor Spitfires.

Johnson's trial is scheduled for August 15, according to CTV News.

The publicity arising from that case led to another accusation of sexual assault, this time from a 20-year-old Windsor woman. That matter has yet to be heard by the court.
