The NHL on Saturday announced home openers for all 30 teams, a day before the league releases its full regular-season schedule for each team.

The Los Angeles Kings will hoist the Stanley Cup on Oct. 8 — the first day of the season — when they play host to the San Jose Sharks. Three other games will be played that opening night: the Bruins at home against the Flyers; the Flames at home vs the Canucks; and the Maple Leafs at home vs. the Canadiens. The Devils kick off the season without a home game until Oct. 18 when New Jersey hosts the Sharks, the longest such stretch for any team before playing at home for the first time next season.
