Caron, 23, was selected by Boston in the first round of the 2009 draft.

He appeared in 35 games last season, and was a healthy scratch on numerous occasions. When Caron did play, he had one goal and two assists in 10:55 of average ice time.
During his four-year career, Caron has played 123 games and recorded a total of 28 points. Last season was his first with a negative plus-minus rating. He was a minus-8 and had 36 penalty minutes.

Caron signed a one-year contract worth $600,000 this summer.
