Philadelphia Flyers vs. Boston Bruins: Live stream, rosters, schedule
Philadelphia Flyers vs. Boston Bruins
The Boston Bruins host the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night in an opening night matchup between Eastern Conference rivals. Both teams made the playoffs last season.
Boston was able to beat the Detroit Red Wings in the opening round of the postseason before falling to the Montreal Canadiens. Philadelphia was upended in the first round by the eventual Eastern Conference champion New York Rangers.
Last season, Claude Giroux led the Flyers in points with 86, the third-most in the NHL. Wayne Simmonds was the team's leading goal-scorer with 29. Longtime Flyer Scott Hartnell, the team's fourth-leading scorer last season, was traded to the Blue Jackets this summer.

David Krejci was the Bruins' leading scorer last season with 69 points. Patrice Bergeron and Jarome Iginla tied for the team lead with 30 goals. Iginla signed a three-year deal with the Avalanche in free agency, but the Bruins return many of the same players that helped the team win the Presidents Trophy last season.
