Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford did not play Tuesday night and is day-to-day with an upper body injury, the team announced

Crawford will not travel with the team for this weekend's games in Nashville or St. Louis, and coach Joel Quenneville said he hopes Crawford will get back on the ice while the team's away.

Crawford's backup, Antti Raanta, started for Chicago against the Philadelphia Flyers. Raanta did not allow a goal, and Chicago won the game 4-0. The Blackhawks also recalled goaltender Scott Darling from Rockford IceHogs​ of the AHL with Crawford's status currently up in the air. 

Crawford played 59 games for Chicago last season, finishing with a .917 save percentage and a 2.26 goals-against average. He helped the Blackhawks reach the Western Conference Finals, where they fell to the Los Angeles Kings in seven games. 

In four games this season, the 29-year-old Crawford has a 1.66 GAA and no losses. For his career, he is 118-59-30 with a .914 save percentage.

The Blackhawks (4-0-1) face the Nashville Predators (4-0-2) Thursday night.
